Surprise Endings- Lost Did It Again!

The final season of Lost was filled with high pace and action. We were just barely able to keep up and it seems that every time we kept getting closer to understanding what was really going on, the producers behind Lost would throw us another curveball. The very last season seemed to split off into two different realities: continuation from the last five seasons, and “flash sideways”. The former being the most realistic and a depiction of what our world is currently like. The flash sideways appeared to be purgatory, or rather what could happen as the crew deserted on the island begins to realize their potential fate. It was hollowing at very best.

The flash sideways alternative occurs without any consideration for time. It occurs after every single member of the island has eventually died (of course)! For the purposes of this article, we’re going to focus on who survived till the very end. Warning: If you haven’t seen the last video from the last season, we suggest you hold off on reading this article, as it may ruin the overall effect for you.

Now that we got the warning out of the way, let’s get this started.

As you can imagine, there’s two ways to survive from this disaster: Escape the island, or survive the island.

Narrowly Escaped the Island

The initial group of people who survived were Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Miles and Richard. It was pretty touch and go for a while, but through brains and sheer willpower, they made it till the very end.

Survived On the Island

Hurley, Ben, Bernard and Rose managed to survive. Their strategy may have derived from keeping quiet amongst themselves and also avoiding any unnecessary attention (the drama)!

Desmond managed to make it till the end as well, but later he ends up leaving with his wife and son.

We didn’t forget about the dog either (Vincent). He was later spotted paying a visit to Jack as he lie dying at the very end. Touching and yet disturbing at the same time.

Other Notable Survivors

Walt, Aaron, Penny, Jinn and Sun’s child, and Eloise managed to make it as well.

Until the next season is produced, we can only sit at the edge of our seats in anticipation. We’re hoping the Lost TV show isn’t completely over, we can’t recall how many late nights we stayed up trying to watch each new video in an attempt to answer some questions from the previous video. After our first season had ticked by, we realized this strategy didn’t work, but still, we tried!

When the next season of Lost is produced, we’ll be ready!
